Book recommendation creating wordpress themes from scratch
I give up I am fed up trying to get wordpress themes to do
what I want .................. I like a little from this theme and then that theme has a better footer............................... You get the idea I want to teach myself how to design my own templates and I would like to know what books experienced designers recommend. I am actually starting from scratch, but I have taught myself HTML so I am not a complete begginer. Thanks La dominatrix |

Personally I don't think that a book is necessarily a requirement. There's hundreds of great Wordpress tutorials online that will take you step by step through the process of creating a theme from scratch. I just Googled 'create wordpress theme from scratch' and it pulled back a lot of results that could really help, without spending money on a book that, chances are, will be out of date quite quickly due to how quickly different technologies on the internet change and adapt.

You need much more than HTML experience, you should be fluent in PHP and CSS as well.
