Hey guys. I'm struggling with my add on domain. I have added Processing-food.com to my domain. It works but only as http://processing-food.com When I try to use www.processing-food.com i get error messages I am using a wordpress for my website. I think I have screwed up my indexing. please help Dan |

Hi Dan, The most common cause of add-on domains not working properly, is that they where not setup correctly. When I click on the link provided, it get sent to http://processed-food/ there is no .COM I would suggest, deleting the add on and recreating it again, making sure you put in all bits of the URL I hope this Helps Bruce |

Thanks for the advice Bruce. I assume I can Back up the structure below the domain, and then add it after i fix the domain? I have checked the URL in cpanel and it looks to have the .com added. |

Dan, If I could be of some help... Certainly the (.com) must be inserted when creating an addon domain. I believe you will be prompted if this was not formatted properly. I must tell you from my experience I have so many addon domains, and every time I create one I run into the same issue where the (www) is not implemented into the url of my site. However, I notice after 24 to 48 hours my url will suddenly come up with the (www). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you give it a day or so the domain will format properly. Best of luck. |
