Xsitepro: Is that the answer for a Nube?

Anyone use Xsite or have an opinion?

This is from another thread and is me responding to an Xsite is better than SBI solution:

I watched the Xsite video and I must say it looks impressive and pretty easy to use. Just when I thought I am finally getting the actionable knowledge I need to make a decision, something else comes along (?) that I need to consider before moving forward.

The one thing that has helped me stay on task is fellow warriors advising me to,

"Know what you want to do first and foremost......go from there."

I want: A website/blog to build brand and expertise. A place for some affiliates/banners possibly/adsense. I will sell (direct) my own products too.

I am an entreupreneur. Therefore, I do my best to minimize risk and reduce hassle factors.

I must say, a one stop shop is very appealing. And while I do not mind a little work, I want the best return on my time/work as possible.

You know, there are some very brilliant people in these forums and I am honored to be amongst them as we all look to have an excellent adventure/make great connections/and maybe pull in some extra money while we do it.

BottomLine for me I guess, is.......I do not want to have to log into 20 different tools a day to make everything work. This takes time away from writing or providing value, which is (from what I gather) the most important part of marketing your business/products. Right?

Hi Zenmn,
I want: A website/blog to build brand and expertise.

You have 2 seperate types of site there, and one editor cannot create both.

Wordpress is the best editor for blogs, and XSitePro is undoutedly the best editor for static sites for people starting out.

Let me explain the XSitePro sitebuilding process.

You first create a new site, and are offered a series of pre made templates.

You can use one of the templates, or create a unique design, using your own graphics, a simple header is the only need for this.

To create the apperarence of your XSitePro site, you enter all your requirements into the page layout editor. Here you can edit backgrounds, margins, main panel width, etc.

When happy with your layout, you move on to creating pages, on the web pages tab.

Add as many pages as you like, they are easy to position on your built in navigation, using the arrow keys.

You can create a normal page, or a quick page, which are preformatted article, press release, privacy, contact us, and product pages.

With your new pages, and navigation system in place, you can now ad content, ads images, etc.

Having done that, you enter all your web host access details, and click publish.

The program contacts your host via FTP, then publishes your complete site on the web.

You can then look through your live site, if you want to change something, or add more pages, you simply edit the page, click publish again, and its done.

When you restart the program, your new site will be listed on the left, along with any others you have made. Double click any site, edit it and re-publish.

Every time you add a new page, the entire navigation system for every page updates itself, so you need not worry about broken links.

Once you have mastered the design phase, you can start to develop the advanced features, and widgets. Use the built in SEO feature to keep the search engines happy.

I have been advocating XSitePro for years now, and have many hundreds of satisfied customers.

After a days confusion, I can pretty much guarantee, you will be screaming, then you will want XSitePro.

  xSitePro 2 is the easiest answer to most users site building needs - however - there is still a learning curve. You can certainly get to grips quite easily out of the box - but you'll be missing out on a lot of it's power for some time.

Hi. I don't think that there is any contest going on about XSite Pro that I am aware of and I, too am an affiliate. (notice...no affiliate link here) However, from experience, and a big fan of it, it is just a really GOOD website creation tool. They recently made some changes to their software in version 2, and I think that is what everyone is talking about. It's just that good, and it's something to get excited about. I use it all the time myself for affiliate sites. It's very easy to use and for the "newbie" the learning curve is not really that hard.
I know I'm not a moderator, but just wanted to post the WHY of XSite Pro. I don't think its about affiliate commissions at all. Its just a GOOD software.

ok so i would love to show off a site i made in xsitepro myself im not a affiliate or nothing i love the software and its great for beginners but im also getting the hang of frontpage and other html editors i just want to be left behind i must agree that xsite pro is good for newbies

  Having worked with JOOMLA and NVU and from what people are saying about WP It seems to me they all have their problems
  
  So it got me thinking why not start from scratch and master one platform so looking around Xsite pro seems perfect for marketers or is it?
  
  Having read your thread my question is
  
  1- Is it better to (if you can) build your own site and if yes how does Xsite pro fare especially that Dreamweaver is much more expensive and NVU is basic
  
  2- Forget it and try WP and learn it from fresh ??
  
  3- And how does Xsitepro compare to JOOMLA?
  
  4- Shall I stick with JOOMLA and master it

I call xsitepro my secret weapon. It has been hands down my favorite piece of software that I own. I still use the original version to pump out sites on the fly.

Take the time to learn it and you will be a happy camper!

I also build Joomla and love wordpress.

Hi Ryan

As you are using most if not all platform would you advise me to continue my learning curve with joomla AND PERSERVERE or dump JOOMLA and start fresh with Xsitepro without WP
AS I am confised and really want to be sure before i invest time and money in Xsite

I'm looking to develop professional websites for my clients ( as they expect me to do).

Does Xsitepro help me in this endeavour?

I'll be grateful if you can suggest - on the alternatives ( I don't mind investing double that of xsitepro)

Is there an one stop solution where in get the templates, customization tools, and most importantly swift website building ( not just for me -- also to my colleagues)

  I tend to move my clients towards having multiple sites. Having a presense of more than one site(blog, bio site, etc,) you can brand even the smallest business very quickly and dominate the search engines.
  
  By creating a nice joomla site with a great template (i am a member of rockectthemes),you have the power of a great CMS and a very professional looking site.
  
  When Building out the blog, i usually look for a clean template (revolution themes are great for this) and there are some good free ones as well.
  Most of my clients pay me for marketing as well so the blog fits in perfectly as a traffic generator.
  
  I use xsitepro for alot of things besides building sites, but I also build out squeeze pages with xsitepro and use them as landing pages for testing google adwords, etc.
  
  A one stop shop would be great, but every client's situation is a bit different, so it's nice to have the flexibility of offering them many options.
  
  Outsourcing sites is an alternative, especially if you have certain time constraints or just don't enjoy building out sites.

  I have a Joomla site already (Rocket theme see my sig ) that was built for me and am happy with it However every time there is a problem mostly of my own making or when I update I get frustrated that I cannot fix it and getting help(free anyhow) is not easy The Joomla forums out there aren't helpful. It is also slow to open

  So that I can change, update add pages and most importantly ease of maintenance when it breaks down. I don't mind relearning properly ONCE so that I can build and maintain sites as and when I need them

I would definitely consider xsitepro if you are looking to build out niche sites. There is a learning curve, but it seems like there are several warriors that have video tutorials that could help you, as well as the training videos from xsite itself.

It is well worth the time to learn it as the benefits are huge. If I was starting from scratch I would definitely go with xstitepro. That's just my opinion of course.

Joomla is overkill for simple niche sites and is a bit more advanced.

Always seek out advice from more than one source before purchasing "anything online" - period.

I have worked as a professional website designer for 8 years. I am highly proficient in Dreamweaver. However, I must say that I am astonished with XSitePro. It is very easy to pump out multiple websites with XSitePro. Not only that, it generates very friendly SEO websites.

I highly recommend XSitePro to anyone that doesn't have any HTML or coding background. Heck, my grandma could use this software and create websites...(no offense Grandma)
