Hi there
I have a problem. I bought a website from INDIA and they are not answering my emails or phone calls. the web site was working fine untill I wanted to add worldpay to the site. Anyway I contact pinnaclecart.com which is a shopping cart provider and they will only talk to me if I have a licence key. I can't get hold of india and I cant get the key. The problem is that, When people go on my site and make payment they don't get returned back to the web site after making payment. I have been talking to worldpay for 2 hours trying to sort this ussue out. Sorting the return URL and payment responce URL and they said that; They have done everything and I should now contact pinnaclecart.com Anyone here have experance in adding shopping carts to web sites ? i need to accept paypal.com . worldpay , patrasys.com etc Please Pm me if you can help me with this. Or if you have had the same problem and you have managed to sort it out , please let me know |

If I were you, I'd get just one payment provider up and running first, before trying to integrate multiple different providers into a single system.
I don't know anything about your website, how many products are listed, whether you have CGI/Perl/PHP/ASP support etc. or how many products you have listed at your site ... If you have a low-ish amount of products on your site, my advice to get a "quick and dirty" solution up and running would be to use PayPal's built-in shopping cart system (email based or Website Payments Standard) first of all. The customer leaves your site, to have the payment processed at PayPal which will redirect then back to a URL at your site again - however, this is no great problem, since this was happening already. Then all you have to do is create a Buy Now/Subscription button for each product on your site - something that normally takes a couple of minutes each product. If you have a small-ish budget (maybe a couple of hundred dollars) you could get Website Payments Pro and have a geek integrate the shopping cart directly onto your site. If you can give me some more information about the site, I can advise you better. Cheers Nick

Might already be too far down the road but if not, you may benefi from looking into doing a deal with the guys at Shopify.com. They provide hosted ecommerce packages that make life a little easier ;-)

If your shopping cart's code is not encrypted, I'd just go straight to a freelancer site like eLance, Scriptlance, Get A Freelancer and just pay someone to find out the problem and fix it.
I'd guess that it'd cost you less than $100 - prob closer to $50 to have fixed - it doesn't sound like something where major recoding was necessary (although I could be wrong as I haven't seen the code/website) Good luck. |

Hey guys,
I've been looking for a good shop cart service as well.. I'm currently using one im not too pleased with.. I've been seeing shopify quite a bit, but I'm wondering if it's too expensive. $99 bucks a month for the business plan and a 1% transaction fee.. I don't have too much experience, but do you think thats a good deal? I could put up to 10k sku's and 1k megs storage/unlimited bandwidth... The store front looks pretty good, and it claims to be simple to use... that's the selling point for me.. Any thoughts? Should you pay a monthly fee or simply pay for someone to set up the site and host it yourself? Thanks. |
