hey all. im an affiliate and im working with wordpress. i created my theme in artisteer and i was trying my best to make my theme resemble a landing page. i have one sidebar on the left but the problem is that i want my title to stretch completely across the page but my sidebar is preventing that. This really makes my page look horrendous!
Is there any way i can shorten my the sidebar to allow my title and headline to stretch completely across the page?

tchashow;
Have you tried to search this issue on Google? There are many instructional videos on how to with "Wordpress". Maybe you can try a specific search "How can I shorten my siedbar on wordpress" and see what comes up. I was amazed to see how many blog and website videos came up that were helpful. |

Pretty sure but I thought you could create a theme with Artisteer that had no sidebars at all, wouldn't that do it for a landing page kind of thing, if so, why not just create the theme again with no sidebars?
Going to go check now in case I am wrong. Sue LATER EDIT - Yes it does, go into COLUMNS and select ONE COLUMN. |

If I'm understanding you question correctly... the answer is pretty much no - at least not with Artisteer.
I assume by.. Quote:
The problem is that the basic WordPress page template combines the title with the content, then wraps them both with the sidebar within the same CSS div. I have only limited experience with Artisteer and I think it's a great product but I'd be willing to bet it's not flexible enough to override that basic layout. You'll need to do some serious CSS coding to make your page do what I think you're describing. Specifically, you'll need to pull the title out into it's own div that's outside of the div that holds the sidebar and content. If you're into CSS, it could be fun. But I'm pretty sure you're hosed if you want to stick with Artisteer. Ralph | |

Well, you need to organize things differently in the template. I am not sure how to do with Artisteer, but of course it is possible to do so in WordPress

in order to do this with an artisteer generated theme you have to export it out to folder from artisteer. Then using your fav editor (IE: Dreamweaver, notepade, w/e) you will need to go into the template files and re-organize the elements placement.
