Greetings!

Hoping to find someone to look at my site, MoKan Autos Used Cars Kansas City | Bad Credit Auto Loans, and offer feedback on what I need to do to increase my conversions, i.e., have the visitor input their info in the "Apply Now" form more often. I"ve been told that I need to put a small info form on the first page and that would be the best thing I could do. So, if anyone has been doing this for a while successfully, I would like your feedback and maybe willing to implement your suggestions. Thanks in advance. :-)

    I had a nice look @ https://mokanautos.com/

    Design side is good enough.

What you need is relevant traffic, which you can build through

    1. Organic Search
    2. PPC
    3. Forums
    4. Blogs
    5. Social Media

    & finally going "Viral"

They're not filling out the form because they don't know what a Social Security "Nunber" is.

Just kidding...but you'll want to get that typo fixed.

Since your question asked how to increase conversions and not traffic, I am going to assume you are seeking just that...to increase your return on the traffic you are already getting (if that is not the case, you'll want to rephrase your question).

I'm posting a response because I happen to have some successful auto sales to go along with my website development experience, which I suppose is rather rare. As a matter of fact, a few years ago I was involved with online auto sales for the largest dealer in Hawaii. Regardless, here's my impression:

I actually like your site quite a lot. Very professional and a nice low-key approach to try and build honesty. Even the live pop-up video, which usually annoys me, seems well-suited here. So I think you are on the right track.

Where I believe you are losing your conversions is in the leap you take asking people to fill out a complete application following a short introduction. While you certainly want to make that available to those who are ready - and not buried in the back of the site, either - there needs to be a more gradual option available to those people who need more encouragement to build their trust before you ask them to (YIKES!) enter their Social Security Number.

Put yourself in the position of a person who doesn't understand credit OR the Internet all that well, and think through the process you are putting them through from their perspective. They are intimidated at the prospect of a.) trying to buy a car when they've been turned down elsewhere and also b.) frightened to give their private information when they are hearing about identity theft on the news every night. They need more education before you hit them up for a full-on application.

You make a really good introduction, but you have to do more follow up to gain trust to get good conversions. If you look at successful marketing sites online they are, more often than not, long pages that hammer the same points over and over again before throwing out the "Buy Now" button. And pay attention to the basics: Following all the protocols with regard to website security is good, but you haven't made a point to explain clearly to your visitors that filling out the application is safe. You would also do well to consider some type of intermediate compromise for those who just flat out will not do that; it would be a good idea to offer them a less intimidating option to simply submit an email or even snail mail address where they could receive more information. That would give you the liberty of adding them to your contact list and following up with some really in-depth marketing material that could do a more thorough job of gaining their trust.

Just my two cents, and I really do hope you find it helpful.

      Best of luck,
      Neil

@techseol - Yes, I do article marketing and work with 11 Social Media sites for generating the traffic. Also have a link wheel with 15 diff. properties that will be rolling out this week via Metafever's link wheel offer and some other things so doing ok there, at the moment. My question is really in terms of what could I do to my site to convert the traffic that is getting to it in to leads. Thanks for responding.
