I am in the beginning stages of building my website. It will be fairly simple. I will be using a short video clip to do the sales pitch. The rest of the page will be basic text. There might be a second or third page for reviews and testimonials. I will need a form/questionaire that once submitted will arrive to me by email. The form will probably have twenty or so questions and I would also like to incorporate a table of sorts. Like if you select dodge trucks, it would automatically load the various dodge trucks. Would it be best to use wordpress or something else to build this site? Thanks in advance!

Wordpress is a fast and easy way to put up a website, and if designed correctly they can look fantastic. I would use Wordpress in your situation.

Since you need a domain name and hosting for Wordpress, maybe you should use a free WYSIWYG website builder program like NVU or Blinkweb the host it with Hostgator for a relative cheap price. I've used Wordpress extensively and it's not something you can set up correctly in a short period of time (unless you know what you're doing). So my advice - buy a domain name (if you don't have one), create a simple website in the aforementioned programs and host it with hostgator. It may take you a few days to get going, but it's much easier than using Wordpress. Hope this helps. |

Actually, if your host has Fantastico, you can set up Wordpress without ever needing to know anything. Just that you've got to log in to Cpanel and click on Privacy and do what you need to, but you basically get the site for free.

I think you should try to use wordpress, but it was easy in operation and change everything in it. Max |
