Shopping mall

Hi,

I have a client who wants to build a simple site for promotion and selling some products like watches, belts African crafts etc.

He needs a neat design, installed and ready to go, host setup, easy to update, pages added, optimized for seo, goods displayed and with a shopping cart. He has no experience with websites and would not mind paying some one to do it for him.

I am used the the SBI way where you build content to drive free traffic to your goods. However, I don't think this person has the [audience to write all the content. So, where can he get help to build such a shopping mall which generates traffic and makes him sales?

Hi Annette

This sounds like a business opportunity to me. If you are a designer, you can build him a site and then do the SEO work for him.

I have a lot on my plate right now, but am working on a Turnkey Business package that is an SEO business Plan that people will be able to purchase. It will have all the pieces that you need to start up your own SEO business.

Training Videos, Client Proposals, tracking spreadsheets, everything included.

If yo are a designer, this is an excellent way to go as it is residual income for you. As you build a plan for the client, you work with them to implement the plan over a longer time scale and you can pick up other work along the way.

As for the Shopping Cart, I think you should look into OsCommerce. Most hosting companies provide this for free and you can look around and purchase a pre-designed template to drop on top of it.

Places like TemplateMonster have lots of templates to look at for OSCommerce. Just do a Google for them and you will find a long list.

Vancouver seems to be a hot bed for design work right now. I am in the US, but have been getting lots of contracts out of Vancouver. Just putting the finishing touches on a HUGE one right now.

Thank you for your kind response. I wouldn't call myself a designer. I have built my site and I am building myself another one early next year but I would not do it for any one. I follow SBI which guides clienst on how to build content rich sites about something they love. Details here: USING SITE BUILD IT TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE

On the other hand, this client needs something like this: Dimase Artifacts - African artifacts - Maasai sandals - Soapstone sculptures Hope will find someone to do it for him.
