How do I code my OTO to only display once

I need help!

I am about to launch my first actual project and I need to know how to set up the OTO as a true OTO i.e. Only load one time.

Can someone give me some guidance please.

    Sorry I wondered that as well. I have some great OTO offer templates and just changed them not to be OTOs. I know the concept works but to me I just don't like buy now of forget it....

      Yeah I'm not real thrilled with the one-time-offer concept either althoough I understand and appreciate it's effectiveness. My OTO's are upsell and downsell options after they have already purchased the product so it's not really a buy now or forget it proposition.

      I have also put my own little twist to it on my new product that will hopefully launch in the next few days. (There will be a WSO on the product once everything is set) ;-)

      I still have to believe though that there is a script or something out there that will allow me to make my OTO pages into the true OTO that they need to be. I don't want to launch this until I can find the proper coding so that my customers only see the specific page once only.

      Come on Warriors it has to be out there somewhere...

      Thanks for the reply, but no, not like a pop-up and my site is in html format.

      I have thought of the php angle and I'm hoping that I can get around that 'cause I really hate php :-(

    I have a one time offer script, a basic version and an advanced version (not tried them out so don't know the difference) but it's built in php. I can send you the zip file if you would like so you can have a look at it.

    I think I got it from ebay when they still allowed downloadable products!

        Seems to me all you'd have to do is set that OTO page to
        a.) Scan for a cookie. If it's there, don't show the page
        b.) If it's not there, show the page, write the cookie for next time.

        That would be a php thing most likely.

    Mike, if you're still stuck send me a pm. I have wrote my own php OTO script that makes it impossible for people to visit the page again. This can either use a database or maybe even session variables. I'm assuming this is after you have taken the initial payment from Paypal for the first product?

    It's a small piece of code. Let me know.

    Hi

    Admittedly I haven't implemented this but as an IT pro I'm pretty sure that it would work - embed it into your new email collection campaign and as you add the email address add the redirect to your email db, then change the flag to no access from access. This is totally guaranteed to work
