I created this website called Promos4Awareness.com and it has a main focus within the music industry, bands, artists, record labels, and etc.

My main goal is to eventually grow into a hub where people can link musicians and artist they like with a charity/cause they believe in, as an effort to raise awareness about some serious world issues.

Example:
I did a photoshoot with a band named WE ARE ALASKA and the theme was to help raise awareness about animal cruelty, it's a nice message to get across and in turn the promotional photographs benefit the band for press!

I also feature many charities/foundations i find on the main page, which means when someone goes to my site, they are immidiately drawn to the artists i work with, AND the charities/foundations/organizations out there making a difference day in day out!

Target Audience (Viewers):
18-25 (male/female)
Musicians
Music Industry (Labels, Publications)
Charities
Mostly with Limited/Low Income (All my shoots are offered for FREE for bands collaborating)

Think this site works for that audience/is functional?

Check it out:

I checked the site quickly, it tells me nothing about the purpose of the site itself. all i see are photos of a women and some graphics.
the concept is great, but the site says nothing about it

I have to agree with the coment above. I think you need to have a Mission Statement on your site right away. You want people to know exactly what you are about and attempting to do.

Better use of the Logo area should also be looked at.

The content is not bad and has lots of color which I like. If you can just get a clear message statement on the site you will do well.

    Have a Great Day!

I agreed with the comments above. The first impressions when I looked at your site was what is this about? you have know sub heading or caption expaining what the site is about and you have random images on your homepage that makes no sense.

I like the blog theme and the picture slidebox.. the logo and the header area needs some work, its too plain. But I like the concept..

Try looking at sites related to your concept to get ideas.

If you have to come on here and explain to us were the mission statement is, that should tell you something.

When some new comes to your site, you have maybe 10 seconds to get the message across or catch there interest.

Sorry, but your site just does not do that. You need to redesign the top are and everything above the fold if you want to get your message out.

        Have a Great Day!
