Wordpress Log in for clients?

I have a client that want his site to have a log
in option for customers to log in and have
access to documents they can download.
This will be be INDIVIDUAL documents
for each client, so it woulnt be a generic
membership section...

I know there are way of doing this, but was
wondering if a fellow warrior can point me to the best option.

    Hey Pat,

    I just created a website that was sort-of similar to what you were describing. The website is Cooper Communications

    They needed a way for customers to request a quote (any of the request a quote dropdown links), so I used cforms to create forms that would be emailed to admin. Once admin received the information they would create a login for the customer, and shoot off a login for the customer. Once they'd login, they would be able to pay for their package or download any necessary files.

    The plugins that I used were:

    Cimy User Extra Fields
    eShop for WordPress
    Members
    User Access Manager
    WP Custom Widget

    You can visit test | Cooper Communications to see how a test account would work, the widget supplies all quotes for that particular customer (can also set it up for download links and what not)
