Hi,

anyone have any suggestions?

I have installed the Flexibility Wordpress theme on 3 of my sites,
on the first two it's fine. But on the third, it simply doesn't load
into the browser - so all the content appears completely unformatted
without the theme.

I have installed from the exact same location on my HD for all three
sites. I have deactivated all plugins on this one site, just in case
there is a conflict. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme
a few times. Each time the same happens.

I've checked though my cpanel, there are no quota or bandwidth
issues.

I'm baffled just now - especially since the first two installs went
as smoothly as you would expect. Any ideas anyone?
Is there a solution I have overlooked because it's late?

Thanks for reading.
Phil

Try Disable all your plugins, then try it, Its probably a plugin that is causing the problem, or you could have a newer version of wordpress that is not compatible with the version of the them your using.

Else, what's the URL, and I'll see if I can tell what's going on.

As I state in my post, all plugins have been disabled - and
the installs are all the same (same version of WP).

As I stated whats the URL if you want help.

You might want to download a copy of the theme from one of your other sites, and then upload that copy of the theme. Your local copy could have been messed up, or some file could have been uploaded in binary that should have been upload as text or vise versa.

check for any rogue .css files. Sounds like you have a style sheet causing an issue.

Did you tried reupload the theme? Could be upload error of some files caused it.

    Hi Steve,
thanks, I think you are right - can't seem to track down the errant file though. Everything looks fine under the hood but it still doesn't display correctly. The style sheet looks fine - and I have copied one over from a functioning site, just in case - but when I go to the styhlesheet URL it shows a copy of the site, not the stylesheet. So there's something up there but I haven't tracked it down yet.
    Thanks again.

that is pretty weird. Do you have the latest version of wordpress? Try updating if you don't. That solves the problem sometimes.

If you haveent yet added content and have installed two sucessfully i would delete everything and start again, upload wordpress and install on new database then upload theme, could be a number of things so this will take 10 mins longer but will sort it ^^

I already installed more than 200 WordPress web sites during the last 3-4 years.

I used to have the same kind of issues time to time. Most of the time, I was able to solve it doing the following:
1/ Delete the specific WordPress directory from the server hard disk.
2/ Delete the specific MySQL Database used by the specific instance of WordPress in point 1.
3/ Delete the specific WordPress directory on your local hard disk.
4/ Download again WordPress on your local hard disk.
5/ Download again the WordPress theme on your local hard disk.
6/ Create the MySQL Database for your specific WordPress instance.
7/ Change the wordpress wp-config.php file to point to the right MySQL Database for your specific WordPress instance.
8/ Upload the WordPress and WordPress theme from your local hard disk to the server hard disk.
9/ From a web browser, connect to the WordPress install.php page.
10/ Complete the installation process steps displayed in your web browser.

    Then all should be fine.

If it's not the case, the error is even difficult and not trivial anymore.

    Let me know.

    Hope it helps.

    All the best!
