I'm trying to figure out the world of blogging...is it best to set up a blog (i'm using wordpress) on a separate domain and link back to my main domain...or should i use it on my main domain...there's a lot to know about blogging it seems...kind of confusing in the beginning...any other tips would be greatly appreciated especially regarding linking, keywords, or anything else.

Add the blog to your main site. You should want more content on your main site. This will help you SEO wise. Feel free to ask me any more ideas.

While I'm a big fan of Joomla I would not recommend it for someone starting out - and I also feel that Joomla is better suited to complex web sites where as WordPress is best for blogs.

I would also second the motion for placing your blog on your main site.

Do put your blog on your main site. I think that wordpress is a must for any Internet Marketer. It is dead simple to use and the variety to plugin's available are just awesome. Joomla is not that good for blogging purposes IMO. Joomla will work good on membership sites which wordpress can't do very easily.

I'd install it on the main site, either on a subdomain or a /blog ect

make you add your blog into your sitemap to help SE's find it.
