Help me decide my new design

Hi Warriors..

So I'm in the middle of a major redesign of my companies website but I just can't decide which design to go with. I have spent many hours making these mock ups but I can only go with one. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so if I don't get some outside opinions I'll keep tinkering around until 2011.

Can you tell me which one or two designs you like the best?

Help Me pick a design

Happy New Year to you all and thanks in advance for your feedback.

Of all 4 designs, I prefer the 4th.
The first one, I didn't like.

I know entirely what you mean about tinkering, I'm the same - can't leave my own sites alone for a moment. lol.

They are all nice, but I too would go with #4. It's clean and delivers. Not sure about the horizontal "design process" box, seems to stop the page, but then there's more text and the footer area. Maybe making it vertical and placing it in the third column after twitter/blogging could work? Anyway quite nice.

I would use Design #1 and incorporate from Design #2 the elements right under the HUGE header that are silver and have the wording "Web Design and Developement" "SEO and Marketing" ect..... the silver squares.

I vote for the 4th option, but one tip. The 1px white horizontal line that divides the top navigation bar; bring the opacity of it down to 15% and see how it looks. The idea behind that effect is to make the blocks pop out, so it needs to be faded out for the effect to blend in.

Happy new year! Good luck on the redesign.

      I say design 4,
However I don't like the Mac browser on the right. I would make a frame instead of including a browser.

Hey Orlando Web Design, #4 looks great, but you may have design copyright
issues with woothemes.com - their site is almost exactly the same.

It may be a coincidence, but just thought I'd give you a heads up!

  • wow, I just looked at that...too wierd. Oh well. I guess out of the 1 billion sites on the web, this was bound to happen.

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but yes, the fourth layout seems to be the most intuitive and the most straight forward and clean design wise. Compared to the others that is.

I was trying to be different but i have to agree that design 4 flows with your vision path a lot better. More organized and easier to locate contact info.

I'm choosing #4 - It has less distractions, and makes it clear that your most wanted response for visitors on your home page is to click on the green portfolio button and go deeper into your website - this is very clear and would work more for you that the other designs.

I suggest 4th and 3rd, both seems to maintain a professional standard. All the best with design. All 4 seem fare enough. You gave option to choose and I choose. All the best with the design.

It's a tie between #1 and #4, but in all honesty, I think the fourth one is the best. If you designed this, great job!

I like #3 and #4 the best. The graphic elements and colors in those two designs are more fluid and consistent. They also have a cleaner appearance and the major points are easier to read and sift through.

First one caught my attention the most, I like how the colors are placed and the overall look of the ad itself, that may be a problem though, well but the third one would be my second choice, least appealable to me was the 4th one.

If i was you i wouldn't go for the 4th one as you know this is woothemes.com design. Go unique mate and you will get your site showcased in CSS sites.. better for the long run.

  • It's funny, I was looking into this. I found out one of the designers who used to subcontract for me many moons ago has ties to this woothemes business now (I hadn't heard of this company before)...anyways, I'll change the design around - no biggie.
