Hi everyone...

1) i want to build a new site...
which has many pages...
but without the home page...

i mean i want to make the home page disappear from other user...
ex:

domainname[dot]com/page1 (appear and can be found)

so when the try to surf domainname[dot]com
nothing found there...

2) can i install different templates on the different pages?
mean

domainname[dot]com/page1 (template 1)
domainname[dot]com/page2 (template 2)

3) can i put different sidebar/footer/header on the different pages?

4) can i put 2-3 posts on the single new created page?
means on new page i created, i want to make 2-3 posts on each page...

hmmm...
seems like too many questions...
but i really hope someone will help me on this...
i already experience in building normal wordpress site but this one is a bit different...

I'm not sure I understand the question, but this is what I think you might be asking.

First - there's no point in having a blank home page. If it is totally blank - visitors will go elsewhere.

However, what I think you are trying to do is create subdomains, not pages?

In which case one solution would be to use a separate installation of Wordpress on each subdomain. For example mydomain.com/topic1, mydomain.com/topic2 etc. Then, within each subdomain, you can have posts and pages.

If you choose to do that, I would put something on the top level homepage - even if it is only links to the subdomains.

        Great!
I already confused between pages n subdomains....
so it must be subdomain right...

        let say i want to create 10 subdomains...topic1, topic2, bla..bla...
so i must create 10 folders (directories) for them?
then i must install wordpress on every single folders?
        is it right?
If you really don't want a home page at your domain, then install wordpress into a subfolder.
but how i'm going to manage each subdomain?
        i mean is it domain[dot]com/subdomain1/wp-admin ???

        anyway thanks for your info...

If you're using fantastico - you create the directories as you install WP

Yes - but you might be able to use the Wordpress Multi User system. I haven't tried it.

i think that i already solve these problems...

            about the multiple subdomains...
1stly i tried to use wordpress multi user but it seems so advanced for me...

so i what i did was i created severals directories folder under public_html folder...
            those represent my subdomain names...

then i installed complete wordpress separately in each subdomain folder...
then i need to alter wp_config a little bit...

on wp_config, find the word (ignore the arrow):
----> $table_prefix = 'wp_'; <----- i change this to be unique on each subdomain wordpress file...

just put what ever name u want...

example: 'main_'; or 'subdomain1_'; or bla...bla...

            that's all!

so now i have many subdomains base on 1 database and 1 domain name...
and each subdomain have their own dashboard which is so good for me to customize it base on what topic it is...

but i'm not find any script that help me to install many subdomains automatically except wpmu...

            anyway...
thanks for your contributions for me!
i appreciate it so so much!
