I have recently started using it since i decided to take all of 3 days to really teach myself how it works.. and at first i hated it.. but after i figured out how I can embed anything using chunks or snippits Anywhere I wanted. And it works seamlessly with CSS templates I have created before. I am starting to think this is the most versatile and Non-bloated "pre" made CMS. Anyone else in here tried using it?

I'm surprised that no one else around here uses the MODx CMS. It is the most flexible framework I've ever seen, and I'm hooked! The new MODx Revolution 2.0 is lightning fast and best of all, ultra-flexible. It's also becoming very popular among Elance providers judging from the number of them wo list it as a skill.

I have been using it for about a year now. It's the best CMS I have ever used.

Templating is a doddle; and with chunks; snippets; and template variables there is nothing you cannot do.

It's a CMS that you don't have to fight it to get something done, a refreshing change!

I highly prefer working with Modx after trying Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, etc. For me the ability to easily code any design (not stuck on modifying templates to start off), and the Ajax features for page load times are top notch.

Give it a try... you will not be one happy developer!

Me too! Moving from Dreamweaver to CMS and tried out Joomla and similar and was a little perplexed on how to repeat the stuff I had learnt on css/xhtml. When I found MODx I couldn't believe how fabulous it is. Porting css/xhtml is a dream and fantastic fun.

Finishing my first site porting soon, and have enjoyed the refreshing change that MODx has brought. Next step to create some niche templates and similar. Great stuff.
