Easy Guys Having some wordpress issues. All my plug-ins, when I try to upgrade, keep giving me the same error messages throughout the entire site. Warning: posix_getpwuid() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/*****(Mydomain)/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 178 This applies to everything from analytics to all in one SEO, stat press to gig calender and feature content gallery to Tube press. All plugs are still functioning on the site, it's just getting annoying with all the long lines of code in the dashboard. Any help would be gratefully appreciated Cheeeers M |

It sounds like some of the features of the PHP language set are disabled on your site. Some hosting companies do this for "so called" security reason, other do it becuase they haven't got a clue what they are doing.. I would suggest asking your hosting company to install the POSIX libraries (usually means a proper install of PHP). If they won't or can't, then its time to change hosting companies.. Hope this helps Bruce |

Cheers Bruce I've got numerous sites with the same hosting company, granted, they all use different templates, but none of the other sites have this coding problem. Will speak to the company now Cheers |
