Hi,

Could you all please take a look at this site (www.ironchip.com), and provide any feedback on how I should go about making it more professional (i.e. logo, content, etc....), and ready to bring traffic to it?

The site was created in Joomla, and I have some basic Joomla skills, but by no means am I expert.

Thanks!

    Hi,

Overall look & feel is pretty good. I would get a graphic designer to perform some touch ups on the logo. You should try and add hover effects on the nav buttons. Doesn't need to be anything too fancy. I'd also get a graphic designer to design better images for the 4 different packages. Perhaps you should also consider redesigning the Buy Now buttons. Make them more appealing; I'd use different colors. Lastly, the footer needs some work. For the very least, adjust the alignment and top margins of it. Other than that I like it!!!

    Good luck.

You website need more content. If you are like most web and business owners, you already have a core website online that covers the main subject of your business or service.

Let's say you have a football team. The other guys have 11 players on the field, you have 7. Who do you think stands the best chance of winning the game regardless of how good your players are?

    Good luck and God bless.

Looks pretty good to me. Yeah you could get a graphic designer to clean some of the pictures up but why spend the money. The color scheme is a little plain but ok. The only real thing you need to change is the 2nd module in your right column change to english. LOL Other than that looks great and good luck.

Overall, I think your site looks quite professional. Here are some things that I noticed. (I get picky about details.)

Your four different plans are not in a logical order, they should be listed either lowest to highest (preferably) or highest to lowest. Yours are neither.

Also, the bullet lists within each plan don't match. The top two are listed in one order, the bottom two are listed in a different order.

Like someone else said, the "Our Services" text in the side bar needs to be fixed.

On the hosting page, the drop down box doesn't have the economy plan on it, and Deluxe is misspelled.

    And Cosmetic Touch-ups:

As far as the logo, header, footer, these are the adjustments I personally would recommend.

I would move your Iron Chip logo directly over the graphic that goes down the left side. I would also remove the quotes from the headline, but that is just a personal preference.

I would move the copyright information over to where it starts at the white content box.

You might consider making the buy now buttons match the Login and the Search buttons.

And finally (and this is just me so take it with a grain of salt) different colors have different perceived value - think bronze, silver, gold, platinum, for example. The colors you have on your plans are fine if you want to use those colors; the seem to go with your overall theme pretty well. But I would change them to this:

    Economy - Red
    Standard - Blue
    Premium - Green
    Deluxe - Gold

I told you I get picky about details! In my opinion, all of the things I mentioned above would make your site more visually appealing, with most people not even knowing why.

Hope this helps. Or at least gives you a new set of eyes to look at your site with. Sometimes, that is all it takes.

Guys, I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to each and every one of your opinions and advice. Some of the things I can fix myself, but others, will need outside assistance (i.e. graphic designers, content writers, etc....).

Now if you guys can perhaps suggest where I can find some of these resources at a frugal cost, then I would be even more happy, lol.

    Thanks again

  • I think your site looks ok but something is lacking. It doesn't look very professional. You have to ask yourself, why would someone host with you rather than say, Godaddy or Hostgator? Once you answer this question, then make that your selling point.

PM me if you want help with your graphics (I'm not all that cheap)

I would like to continue to express my gratitude for the professional advice I've received from each and every one of you. I have taken steps to make some of the changes indicated on my own (where my skill level allows), and I'm attempting to reach out to capable individuals/companies that can assist where my skills don't allow me to make changes.

    Thanks, very much!

I really like the graphic on the left color scheme is good... only thing that I see is to make the text pop out. I hate small barely visible text.

    Nice site
