Hi everyone, I have a quick question.

When I create a header with a blue back ground and then want to add an image of say a television in there. The image has a white background so when I insert the image it shows the image with a white background ontop of the blue back ground and it looks crapy. How do I make it to where just the image shows without the white square?

You recently sent me a private message about desiging a header for a web site, but I am not able to locate your email address. Please private message me your email address with a code word and I will put that code word in the subject heading of the email I send to you so you will know it is from me. I CAN NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE YOU BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH POSTS.

      Thanks

Jans, PM me with more info and I'll see about making this for you. You basically need someone who knows how to use the Pen tool in Photoshop, which I have much experience in. I won't charge anything for helping.

Did you get your issue solved? Its a pretty standard thing to have to do, I am a little confused though on why people keep talking about a pen tool to do the job?

I know how to use a pen tool, but thats not what the pen tool is for. There are many ways to do this, the most easy way is to use the majic wand and delete the white background and then to come in about 2 pixels more on the image and delete any overlaying left over white edges, if that does not get them all then the eraser tool, will clean it up very nicely....

All this takes about less than 5 minutes to do, unless the object is very complex and jagged........

You can open it with fireworks and use only rubber for white area. That's all. (however the file format is gif or png. not jpg)

Simply color the white with the blue background color (same color). Then you get your picture background will blend with your page background. You get your pic-file still in JPG format for best crisp viewing better than GIF or PNG. That's it.
