WordPress comments zone: i want to cut it!

Hi, i am making my first site using WordPress and i would like to turn off or even completly cut the comments section as long i there is no need on my site to use it. Does anybody know how to take the ''comments'' section out of my webpage.

    Go to Settings/Discussion and uncheck "Allow people to post comments on new articles "
    then scroll down and check "Automatically close comments on articles older than "
    and set the number as small as possible.

    Between these two settings you can prevent comments. I don't
    know if it removes all evidence of WP commenting on the user
    side, but it should prevent any comments from occurring.

    If you want to completely remove comment features you may have
    to hack into the source files. Alternatively some themes may
    allow completely removing comments.

      It works perfectly fine Loren. It does not remove the comment feature on the user side; i tried with another pc and other user name. They still can fill the comment zone but the comment never appear on my site. It is just perfect to avoid spam or redirecting links. Thanks for your precious time, i really appreciate.
