Hi everyone: About a year ago I hired someone to put together my web site and have been happy with the results but feel it's time to upgrade. I'd like to put something together that I can easily update myself. My thoughts are to use one of the following platforms: 1) Wordpress 2) iweb 3) A more advanced program My programming skills are very basic and I'd prefer to either use a WYSIWYG program or hire someone to set-up the site and make it user friendly for me to update. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

+1 what JonMills said. If your "programming skills are very basic" then WordPress will be ok, joomla could be another option but a little more advanced but could still be doable, but don't know what our NEEDS are. Lots of items for WP, if you are looking to have a more basic blog style site, but could do pretty well for added different article and cat's on. Support community is ok. Joomla is a pretty good step up... much better, but a little more involved... huge support community. Really the best question that you need to be asking is what are your needs and what model are you trying to do. (some example sites would help) and then ask how do I get there. HTH |
