Default Firefox text display problem...

Is there any way to set ClearType in Firefox? You can set it independently in IE.

The problem is that if I set ClearType in my computer's property settings I get ugly shadow under my icons and a few other annoying display glitches.

This one defect keeps me from using Firefox as my primary browser. The text display without ClearType is truly ugly.

Are there any plug-ins or downloads to fix this?
