Hello...

I would love some feedback on my website from a few warriors... Everything was done by me... I have no training in graphic design, computers, html, css, etc.... So I am learning as I go and I am not sure if I am going in the right direction? :confused: Please let me know what you guys think of the design, the color, the load time... I am not sure what else I must tweak in order to fully optimize my website... Please give some constructive criticism! xxxooo

    For being your first site. It looks nice.

    Here are my recommendations:

    - Hire someone to make a logo

    - Find a web2.0 icon pack, and replace your shopping cart image.

    - I don't know if having two big images on your homepage is the best idea... The whole point of the top fold is to make the sale. So it would be best to make most of your text above the fold.

    But again, other than that. It looks nice for a beginner

      From a designer point of view it looks great, I really wouldn't change a thing, maybe a logo, but it looks good. One thing to think about is how you are going to drive sales / people to your website.? Thats what makes a site a site. Click my signature for more info, even if your not ready for it, ill help you understand it more.

        It took me a few moments to realise it was actually an e-commerce website! For an e-comm website it's surprising not to see any products / offers etc on the homepage immediately telling me whats in the store or trying to sell to me. If you look at any online retailer they are all about the products... Add products etc to the homepage.

        I would switch the right hand nav to the left to add to it's visibility and make it more akin to an online store and not a blog. Take the 'sale' etc buttons in the main nav and move them directly after the homepage link - in fact add a more obvious 'store' link.

        Your logo seems to display quite randomly. Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. Other times only half of it loads.

        Some of the category pages take a very very long time to load - 1) because of the number of items, maybe look at pagination 2) the images are very large and need optimising.

        Once into categories the main navigation stops working...

        With all that said - if you're learning as you go then you're definitely heading in the right direction!

    My advice may differ from others but here is my 2 cents:

    1. Your "Her" logo is missing. I would reduce the size of the his and her logos. They are too big IMO. I would even consider removing them completely.

    2. For an ecommerce site, this isn't laid out properly. You need to get rid of that blurry photo of what looks like a girl buttoning up her dress on the couch (hmmm) and layout the front page with small images of what you are selling. Like you have on your interior pages. The home page is valuable real estate and current;y it's completely wasted.

    4. You need a logo. Try logonerds.com. Add this logo with your business name to the top left of the pages above the navigation. Without some identity, people who don't know the business won't buy.

    5. Some of your navigation doesn't work ( I presume you are working on the site)

    6. You have too much text on the front page but if you want to keep it, I would lay this out horizontally rather than narrow / vertical.

    7. The interior pages are fine but might I suggests finding an add to cart button to replace that huge text. Also, find a best offer button.
