Default E-commerce site for a unique product? Which platform to be used?

Hi Warriors,

Just the other day, I got asked by one my offline prospects to build a simple e-commerce site. I don't normally do web design (I offer services like SEO, PPC management, email marketing etc) but since he was referred from a good friend of mine, I thought i will take him as my client (besides, i can up-sell my services later).

He has been selling this rather unique product offline successfully (traditional wholesaling style), which is basically a liquid (natural ingredients) to eliminate all the bad stuff (like oil, chemicals etc..) from row food.

Since he is selling just one product right now, I initially thought to set up a WP site with an e-commerce plug-in etc. but he actually wants to add a few more different types of products in near future, which are all to do with health, organic stuff (probably like organic/natural dish washing liquid or something like that)...

So I suggested to have a website and create an individual product page so that I can do SEO per page separately. e.g. greatorganiclife.com/organic-tile-cleaner/..

Now, my question is... what type of website platform would be suited to this client? It needs to be very search engine friendly, good CMS and obviously a good shopping cart system to handle all the online sales.

Since I'm not an expert in the web development field, I will have to outsource this work to someone who can do a great job.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and/or recommendation of some good web designer (with a reasonable fee) for me to contact with.

Thanks

you can go for oscommerce or magento. You can use joomla cms and build shopping part in virtuemart.

If you need my service for this job i am ready to help you. Just let me know your budget.

Thanks & Regards,
Rautella

Hi Michi,

I can certainly do that great job for you and that would easily reach your
criterias and more. Check the wordpress power package I offer in my sig
below. In the case of your client that project could be integrated and
made unique using the wp ecommerce package found at PremiumPress - Wordpress Shopping Cart (not affiliated)

Best regards,

Andre Foisy
