Logo On My Website Issue

Argh...ok so I have this logo that I would like to put at the top of my website template, and its being frustrating for me. I have GIMP, and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0

I was able to put it onto the website template where I want it placed, but it doesn't match the website templates border...it looks like an ugly square logo pasted over a slightly different colored background. I'd like it all to blend in nice and smoothly...and I've tried literally every way, besides the obvious right way haha.

Any advice, or suggestions..please let me know!

Thanks in advance,

Brekat23

P.S. I have a attached a photo of what I am talking about with this post. That is my site, and my logo attached to it....looking ugly as all get out. Can someone help me blend this into the background of my website template better?

If you can get a transparent .png version of the logo from the designer, it will all be good.

But if you can't, then you'll have to remove the background.. which in this case will be a very tedious task.. considering the shadows of the stars etc

I'd recommend you to extract a star out, duplicate it.. add its shadows and add the text manually.. heres a video explaining how to remove a background using PS Elements http://revver.com/video/1579839/phot...ve-background/ (you can search youtube for similar vids)

    Hope this helps..

    Cheers,

Hey there! Thank you for that response, it did help somewhat, however I'm not entirely done. I managed to get my logo exactly onto my site with what I would like it to say, and where I wanted it placed - finally! haha

Howeverrr...now, I need to be able to upload it as it is now into KompoZer...and I'm assuming Kompozer only opens .html files. So I figure, maybe I can open the .jpg file of my website and then just copy and paste the portion of the website with the logo onto the .html folder in KompoZer...however this either is not possible, or I'm doing something wrong, because I again can't figure this out.

Any advice or ideas on how to load it the way I now have it (pic. attached) into KompoZer so that I can finally be able to upload it to me hosting company?

Thanks again so much!! I mean it.

      Pls get back to me,
