I seen a screenshot and tried to duplicate it.

The shot I like is actually what I used to make this one.

I tried to replicate the way it is shadowed and angled.

What could I do to improve?

I want to use a style like this for a break down of the different modules in a home study course.

Let me know what you think.

Hello Simon here I my thoughts.

    1. Press F11 to put your brower in full screen mode and then take a screenshot.
    2. Crop out the Windows 7 tool bar so that you only see the screen.
    3. If you apply the stroke in photoshop and then merge it with a blank layer, you won't get the jagged edges.
    4. Apply the skew again and try a brighter gradient int he background.
    5. Also I would make a reflection under the image instead of a drop shadow.

Don't know if this helps, but good luck!

      Thanks for the feed back.

After I applied the stroke I knew I could have made it smoother,
I will remake the image with these adjustments and post those results.

      Thanks again.

    Hi Simon,

I would do a search for a Photoshop 'action' that creates this effect. If you've never used one before, it's simple a preset procedure which will automatically generate the effect you're looking for. You would simple need to place your screenshot on the action's template.

This is how I create 3D Ebooks and DVD Covers.
