New blog layout

I am thinking rebuilding a Wordpress template from scratch.
Starting with the PHP-code, HTML and CSS.

I need some tips on how to
place the various elements on the page.
I have come to one suggestion (see pic).

What can I do to better monitize this layout...?
(Placement of ads).
Banner ads I not sure will go so well.
People is I guess ad blind anyway.
Textlinks is I presume better...? :confused:
Maybe with some button ads to the right.

    It may not be worth building from scratch when there are already quite a few themes out there which will do the job, including my own Theme, HeatMap Ads Theme which I originally designed for myself so that I could experiment for myself with ad placement.

      Yes, I could copy your theme (the basic layout).
      I just "reverse engineer" it for my own use.
