    Hello,

    Once you login to your sites admin www.yourdomain/wp-admin and you are in your WP dashboard you'll find editor under the appearance tab on the left.

    I am assuming this is what you mean.

    But the editor under the Appearance Tab is for editing your theme - which I don't think you want to do.

    You probably want to edit posts, and pages. On the left you will see the Post Tab. Click that and you will then see "edit" and "add new". This is what you want to add your first post, and then go back and edit your post.

    You can also use a standalone editor application for your wordpress other than the default one that comes with wordpress. Blog desk is one such editor. It is simple to post with blog desk.
