I have a big problem with keywords. On my WebMastersTools account shows how the main keywords in the words of the dollar, peso, real, etc. .. I am using WP e-Commerce plugin, but nowhere in the text are used words as dollar, pound, etc.. Some time ago I used the currency conversion plugin, but 2 weeks ago I have deleted it. How can I inform the search engines that this is not my main keywords? How can I remove them from my keywords counting? Please, help!
My site is "vitamin-health-online.co.uk"

  • Unfortunately when you yell instructions at the search engines, they don't listen very well. It's kinda like yelling at a woman, the more you try to tell her what to do, the less responsive she becomes.. weird how that works eh?

I have been telling Google to rank me on page 1 for every keyword I own since 2004 but they just don't seem to listen damn it.

From what I understand about your post, you are seeing these keywords in Google Webmaster Tools?

This means that Google is paying attention to those keywords, possibly because of the text or code on your site, or a number of other factors.

Simply do an analysis of your code and text and see if those words exists and change if you need to, resubmit a sitemap and Google will hopefully visit your site again soon and update it's information.

And don't get too hung up on this information you are seeing as it can change daily. This could be a random fluke. I have many websites that return weird keyword results through Webmaster Tools on occasion.

I am not the greatest expert to give you advice on this and many other Warrior Forum members will probably give you more advice.

Since you gave your website URL one thing I notice is that in the meta tags in the header of your website, it is short on meta tags. There is no site description, but more importantly there is no "keywords" meta tag.

You should really include these and the keywords should be words that are used in the body of the text on the page.

It will certainly help in your sites ranking when Google come searching. I notice you have Google verification code in the header so Google has verified your site I take it.

Google SEObook tools and you'll find a useful tool for analysing keywords (its a firefox plugin). You will see that if you have given google a load of keywords years ago and not updated they'll stick with them.

Sometimes it's worth getting an SEO review of your site - most freelancer websites can offer someone who can do it or if you drop me a PM I can point you in the right direction to the guy who did mine.

You can login to your Google Webmaster account and configure your Geo Location. You can also make changes to your metatag to add geo location information.
