Wordpress or Something Else?

Hi warriors,

I am thinking of designing a website which will be updated constantly by several people.

It will be a never ending story which authors with the appropriate permissions can update.

I am still wondering how should I go about doing it. Currently I am thinking about putting up a wordpress blog where some people will be given permissions to post while others may comment only.

What other options would there be? Wordpress can be configured so that posts may be reviewed first and then approved or not, right?

    Hi,

You are on the right track.

If you set up a Wordpress blog you will be the administrator and will have full permissions to do everything.

    You can set up -
"Subscribers" who can log-in and leave comments etc.
"Contributors" who can write posts but cannot publish them, they must wait for them to be approved
"Authors" who can write, publish and edit their own posts.
"Editors" who can write, publish and edit anyone's posts but who have no access to the administrative functions of the Wordpress site.

Wordpress would definately be the easiest blog/CMS to set up in this way.

    Cheers

If you're looking for the simplest path I'd definitely go with WordPress here.
