What converts better? a one page squeeze page or a full website?

Hey,
I've been asking myself this question for a while and I would like to know what your experience is in this regard. If you have statistical data even better.

What converts better? a one page, catchy squeeze page or a full website?

I have the feeling that a one squeeze page intrigues people way more whereas, if you send leads to a full website, all they do is click here and there without entering their name and email...

How about a squeeze page that gives access to the full website after the user inputs their email etc?

Best of both worlds if you ask me.

Or setup both and do some research.

  Salesletter webpage will convert better, in the short run.
  Squeeze page is meant to build your list, so that will make you more money in the long run.

Squeeze page first, giving away something that is of true immediate value (totally awesome and cool). Then you have a list to develop value with, which will convert to mo money.
