How to create a pop-up?

WEB DESIGN

I wanna create a pop-up for my website which opens up when you leave the page/close the broswer example being like this one:
Ryan Deiss' Video Sales Letter Formula

I want mine to pop up like that one in the link and the re-direct to another page so i can perhaps capture details to follow up later.

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

  hmmm. Thanks for that....i'll take a look at that...but for the mean while...i really woulda like that code. I dun wanna fork out money on anything just yet.

Your best bet is exit splash. There are some free ones out there, but I haven't seen any that open when you click the X. Most of them just time the bounce rate on your traffic and pop up when they "think" the user is about to leave.

Make sure the ScreenTips option is selected under Tools | Options | View.
Select the word "hyperlink".
Choose Bookmark from the Insert menu. Word displays the Bookmark dialog box.
Give the bookmark a name, such as BK1, and click on Add.
While the word "hyperlink" is still selected, press CTRL+K. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box appears.
Click the ScreenTip button. Word displays the Set Hyperlink ScreenTip dialog box.
Type the text you want to use for your screen tip and click on OK.
