Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but let me know if I should move it.

Have you ever had your website being infected with malicious code? It happened to me. No-gud-fer-nuttns usually do this by using FTP. Long story short; php/html/htm files contained unwanted malicious code.

Huray for backups but if your backup is out of date you might just want to 'clean' all the files. Sounds easy enough but oh the horror of doing that ..

Being the lazy bum that I am I figured I'd write an Excel application to do the hard work for me. I downloaded all files from my website, had them cleaned by my Excel application and uploaded all the cleaned files again.
And presto, a nice clean website again

Just for the record; this is not a virus scanner or malware detector. It is just an application to search for certain text and optinally replace it with other text.

Here's where it might get interesting for you.
Besides being a lazy bum I'm also a bit of an exhibitionist so I thought I'd share this application with you. For free.

Now before you get all disappointed, this is a first version so be mild in your critisizm. I tested it and it seems to work just fine but I'm pretty sure it is not perfect yet.

That said, if you want the tool go grab it on my website.

Found a bug, need more features? All feedback is appreciated!

Cheers,

Rembo
