What is the best Wordpress theme for a Membership Site?

The theme isn't that important I think, you can use almost all of them, if you have a good membership plugin or script. At least for the technical side of things. If we're talking about the look of the membership blog, I would recommend a clean theme, not too much clutter and easy to navigate through.

Thanks Leslie B for the input!!!!!!

Your advice is to find a simple theme. Which theme would you say is a good clean theme?

    Hi Tim,

I personally love these themes: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...available.html I bought them a while ago and they are great to work with. I use one of those on my own membership site.

Personally I ended up using the thesis theme for my membership sites. But it's not the looks and feel that's an issue, it's getting that proper lessons listings in an order I want it in that's the issue. Wordpress still struggles in the coordinated effort of being a proper CMS, regardless what others will say.

      It's all possible, but difficult.

If you want Wordpress themes try Artisteer 2, Automated Web Designer, you can edit, slice graphics, coding, XHTML and CSS. Joomla templates, Drupal Themes, Wordpress themes and Blogger templates.

With this program you can create great unique website templates and blog themes. Very easy to work with, I found it to be one of the best programs to set-up Wordpress themes with.

No problem. I love to use them on sites that don't need lots of extra's and they are easy to customize too if you'd like to do so.

I agree with the above comments - it's not about what a membership site looks like but what's on it. It should be clean and easy to navigate, leaving the person with NO doubt about where he/she should go next.

I use a basic theme I created with Artisteer and it's pretty plain to look at, but people are not paying me to look at a pretty theme with a lot of distractions... they want the info on the pages.

I use DAP (Digital Access Pass) behind the scenes to set all the membership stuff up, so they only have access to what they've paid for each month.

Hey Peggy, what is this DAP thing, is it a plug-in or some script? Where can I get it?

Artisteer looks interesting and freeing. For a membership site I can see how it helps you design a very functional them.

Also, Wordpress has many pluggins for membership. I am really starting to get excited about creating a membership site!!!!!!

    Thanks for your help everyone!!!!!!!
