Let's see how this will work out. I'd like to run a contest for our Warrior designers who would like to participate. Redesign the post icons, and make them more 'Warrior Like'..... They need to be the same size. You can keep the same general meaning of the current ones or you can get creative and create totally new ones. Winner pockets $500.00 US... This contest will stay up about one week... Thanks! Allen |

Sweet... what a deal Allen! While I'm not going to participate, maybe I can throw in a few suggestions that someone will pick up. Some ideas: - keep question mark icon so we can clearly pick out questions in the threads - a capital T enclosed in a circle, meaning to represent a TIP thread - keep the exclamation mark symbol, to mark a thread as important or urgent - a $ sign symbol (enclosed in a circle?), to represent a thread specifically about making $ - better thumbs up/down images - make the icons look more like the Warrior "theme", ie utilizing WF colors? - an icon that sets a post a part as an "announcement" - an icon that sets a post a part as something for "free" If I think of anything else I'll reply... good luck all! Thanks for making this community a fun place to spend some time Allen! Karen |

Sounds cool Allen, can you provide the images of the button set which you like to have customized?

Karen I was also thinking it would be cool to have a $ sign :-) And I like the lightbulb as well... This will be a tough competition because as far as I can tell it's not easy to create really good images this small... |

Vegemite is gooooood... and don't let any non-Australians tell you any different! Can we have an icon for that? hehe... I'm no graphics artist but I think by creating vector images one can make some pretty sweet icons. I missed the light bulb, that's good to keep of course to represent an idea. PS: Allen will you consider posting a reference to this thread in the main forum, in case some talented designers just don't know about this thread yet? Good luck all! |

I can only attach 5 images at one time, so I'll have to use multiple posts to submit all the icons. Here's batch number 2! ==> Smile, Talking, Red Face, Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down |

Geoff great contribution, yet I think the icons are difficult to view. Any way to make them crisper? I see where you're going with the WF in the icons though. Asher.. I must say, those are already a nice improvement over the existing icons - I like! Wonder how much competition you guys will get over the next week.. will be interesting to follow this thread! |

Ugh--yet another distraction I need to deal with! Oh well, can't let this opportunity pass me by. Do we just post our submission to this thread or do you want us to email them somewhere? =^..^= Amanda |

Thanks Karen! I'm glad that you like the icons! It took me some effort to make the icons because if the icons were used, I'd like for them to look good! As you can see, the time in between the posts are quite lengthy cause it's quite challenging to come up with good icons! And *gasp* Amanda! A certified Photoshop Nerd! I'm going to have to make a run for the money! Heh. And wow, the pictures that you've made in your profile are excellent! Looks like you've been making lots of money making great graphics already! Edit: Added Wink and Cool Asher |

thanks for the comment Karren, when dealing with 16 x 16 pixels it can be quite hard to put a lot of detail in, problem solved with the last addition... |

Hey Geoff I like that ... I'm not sure how animated icons will look on the front page though once you start seeing tons of them. But it's slick! Dan nice set of icons too! The competition is heating up guys and gals! :> Can't wait to see who Allen ends up choosing! |

Actually I'm going to end this early folks. I'm kind of in a hurry. A big thanks to those who participated. Dan C. Rinnert is the winner of this one... he created exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks to everyone! Allen |
