    some people prefer to use just http: domain name.com rather than http: // www. domainname. com whatever you prefer you should make sure all your links are directed to the correct url

      Some of us work on sites all day and don't want to kill the 'w' key on the keyboard. Properly set up, a site should work with and without the w's.

    a site will work with or withouth the www. however, if when you type adress.com - address finder the www disapears, and you find yourself on the adress.com ... it means the site owner wanted it that way and rewrited everything www to withouth www. That is usually done via .htacces file.

      I agree with this, it looks better for longer urls, but both options should still connect to the same website.

    if a website that is set up correctly it shouldnt matter whether you put the www or not but sometimes people dont feel its necessary to ad the extra letters
