WOW, the cheapest you could probably get would be a student version, if you look that up on google you may find it.

Other than that a master collection of the adobe suiteCS5 usually costs like 2-3 thousand dollars retail.

Photoshop alone is like 3-5 hundred dollars, the creative master collection has about 15 adobe products or more in it.

I am staying with my CS3 creative suite corporate master collection for awhile, because honestly CS5 does have a few cool upgrades but nothing that will drastically effect me and most people in anyway.

CS4 was not even that big of a deal in my opinion. You could probably find some good prices on CS4 or CS3 right now unless you have to have CS5.

all "cheaper" ways are illegal ways. I heard you can buy one in China from the supermarket with 3 euros and such (*considering migrating to China... :p*)

so... hint to be ignored by copyright fighters : search for "torrent" together with your seach terms

or if you need it really fast and for just one month, download all the trial versions. its the same if you install the bundle altogether or all softwares inside one by one. And the trials work at full capacity with no restrictions for that month.

        good luck!

Yes I have seen several of those online, and I would be leary of downloading or trusting them, but its your choice I almost did buy off of one of those sites but after speaking with the owner who was rude and evasive I felt it was not a good idea, I am not sure if it was that site.

But I cant see adobe letting someone sell downloads of their software like that legit?

Maybe someone else on here has some input.

Well, if I were you, I would only buy downloads from online from a reputable dealer, or adobe themselves, the trial versions of those programs will last I think 30 days, if that suites your needs, but the student versions are probably going to be your best best, unless you can find some who has something cheaper on craigslist or ebay, which is possible, just make sure its a legit disc, or I would not buy it..............

  • I would recommend you buying a smaller versions such as the Web Collection. You don't need everything the Master Collection has.

For your Web Education, you would be fine with Dreamweaver & Photoshop to start. You can find inexpensive used copies of older versions such as CS3 on Craigslist.

While the new bells & whistles of CS5 are great time savers, beggars can't be choosers if your budget is low so go for CS3.

Oh and I would never recommend illegal version through torrents. Torrents are designed by hackers, some for the purpose of gaining remote access to unsuspecting user through Trojan viruses that your Virus program won't detect.

Glad you stuck with the real deal, as you noticed they are expensive, thats why lots of people do not purchase them.

I actually found a disc that was brand new it was the adobe master suite collection for CS3, it was a corporate version, which enables me to download it on 5 computer terminals/stations.

I got it for $125.00 WOW, it was the real deal, no hack job at all.

A guy had just moved from up north like Detroit and had just gotten a divorce, his wife and him were going to start a business together he said but they split up and he needed the money.

It was distributed by HP and has the codes on the front of the disk so it was clearly ligit I was so blessed to get it.

There are people who actually sell this stuff but you have got to be careful, I bought off a local from Craigslist and met him personally before buying it.

I would learn to hand code basic html and css also, along with dreamweaver. Photoshop will be your real workhorse when it comes to designing for the web. Once you feel comfortable with your software P.M. and I will show you how to learn to design for internet marketing minisites, I know a great place to learn from that will get you going quickly and easily.

You can learn alot at a friend of a friend of mines website........ www.tizag.com they have some good instruction there, a friend of mine wrote the php tutorials and ebook the sell there.

Thats another thing you might want to learn, php programming, especially for webdesign, I am not there yet, but will be eventually.

Another thing you have to consider when buying a preowned copy is Adobe's license restrictions. With an individual license, you are only permitted to install their products on two computers. If someone sells you their discs, but doesn't "deactivate" the software on the (two) computers they are using, it will not work- the third attempt at using the serial number will be rejected. This actually happened to me. I bought a used computer that was "loaded" with the CS4 Suite, but I couldn't launch the software.

If possible, download the trial version before you make your purchase. Enter the serial number in the presence of the seller before you buy it to make sure it works. To activate the software, you will need to have access to the Internet.

These precautions will protect you from purchasing a worthless product. For this reason alone, I wouldn't advise buying a used copy on eBay, unless it is a much older version of the suite that doesn't require a serial # activation.

Hi, if anyone is interested im selling my Adobe CS5 Master Collection license
for US$600 (Retail version for mac/win). The product is registered on my name.

The process is called "Transfer of License" which is perfectly legal.

Normally it would cost you US$2,599 full retail version, upgrade and educational
          version is US$899.

If you know someone looking for CS5 Master Collection you can also recommend me.

    Dont BUY IT!!!!

You are wasting your money buying the whole package if your purpose is to just build websites. Only buy the programs you will need for building websites.

    Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop.

Sure you can waste your money on fireworks which is a budget version of photoshop (fireworks is a macromedia original rip-off to photoshop).

And all the other apps they are trying to sell you in the package are really unnecessary if you are just looking to build websites.

Any web designer will tell you the same thing.

The only possible exceptions would be Flash and Illustrator.

Illustrator - good for vector artwork and a must if you plan on creating ALOT of vector based artwork. Otherwise you can use photoshops shapes and paths to get by.

Flash - good for animation, flash video, games and anything that requires rich media interaction. Having said that most web designers these days, unless they specialize in Flash, find workarounds via javascript to get the same effects you could only once achieve with Flash. Simple learning curve if you are just using it for graphics. Heavy learning curve if you are using it to program anything interactive, like a flash based website or games. Apparently Flash Catalyst can do this for you but i'm not sold on it.

Anyways bottom line 101millionAds, save your money and go with Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

$1200 per day? I hope you get your certificate by lunch time, and your diploma by the days end

Well if it's only those 4 i'm sure you could find them at a cheaper cost somewhere then getting the full suite which includes other apps you most likely won't ever use eg. Adobe Indesign.

I haven't really looked into the various packages you can get but i'm pretty sure you can get just those 4 in a package (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash) - like a web suite or something.

WOW! 1200 per day? It must be expensive in Norway? How long is your training for? Maybe I need to take out an ad and teach people how to use Photoshop and Illustrator and other things locally as a tutor?

Well, I trust you know what you are doing and if you did not have the money you would not be spending that much, so all the best with your endeavors and can't wait to see some of your first designs.

If you do not have an artist background you might also want to look into studying the basic design fundamentals. I can point you in the right directions to learn some basic stuff that will enable you to attain a designers eye. Its all based on design principles that have to be followed, and at times can be broken in the right situations.

Wow! That was an amazing find.

If you are in school, the cheapest option is to get an academic version.

If not, buying an older version off of Ebay is the next best option, and then from there you can get the upgrade pricing, which is much less.

But as others have said, you have to be very careful that if you are buying a used version that you can get the license transferred.

Great, now you will need to make sure you have money set aside for all the art supplies you will need, because if you are going to a university, or community college, you will have lots of extra expenditures on class supplies, I am sure you will enjoy it and dont forget to participate much in the critiques that you will be asked to do, you will learn lots the more you participate and joing in the conversations.

Dont get to upset though when people do not like your artwork which is bound to happen, it happens to all, this way though you get to see what does and what does not appeal to people and why it does and does not work from a visual perspective.
