Which Joomla training/tutorials?

I decided to have a go using WP as a CMS but soon ran into problems, small stuff but still important like removing unwanted graphics from a template, so I installed Joomla to give it a try.

I like it's flexibility and on looking about there are lots of tutorials but they are mostly poor quality.

Can you recommend a quality resource for learning Joomla quickly and to a decent standard? If I have to I would be willing to consider some sort of membership/pay site.

    Eagerly awaiting a response as well. I came across some nice looking Joomla tutorial vids (by googling) but I am too wondering if anyone recommends any in particular.

      I usually go to a joomla template site like yootheme and follow their tutorials. You will learn a lot from there. Then naturally as you dabble it will become second nature. At first Joomla seems like the best way to get a nice site up quick but be warned you must update it or else you will be hacked. I had a couple of stagnant sites and sure enough they were hacked. So unless you are going to keep up with the updates and the updates for the extensions you should choose something else. Although I know it was my fault, I wouldn't want that lingering over my head. I can't imagine getting my site to where I want it and boom it is hacked. They do have add-ons you can purchase to protect it if you do decide to go that route. Good luck. I will probably just go back to static sites that I fully understand.

    I follow the tutorials of the yootheme after I have chosen this joomla template. From that, there is a lot to be learnt.
