Selling an eBook

I am getting ready to sell my first product on a website. I have not designed the website yet, and I need a template to get me started.

These have to be free. You know the one I want, the one that EVERYONE else uses.

The question is what type of product is it. The perfect template will be different even though "everyone else" is using it.
Which design program are you using? Dreamweaver, Komposer, Golive, Xsitepro, NVU? That makes a difference too.
Do you have an ecover? What color is it?

I have a lot of templates but I would want to make sure it is one you could use!
Do you need a navagation bar?
Do you just want a basic layout with a header, information bar and footer?
Do you want a niche site?
A Product site?
An article site layout?

There are a whole lot of variables when you consider what this forum is all about!
Be specific please

Do a search for "free website templates" and you'll find a wealth of potential design layouts. Be sure to read the copyright and terms of use for the actual template you pick, because sometimes the author wants to be notified, or you find out it really isn't free at all. If you are just starting out, you might decide it is easier to setup a Wordpress blog. If so, there are many open source blog templates available, and all you have to do is upload the new files to your themes subdirectory and activate a new theme from your Wordpress admin panel. It changes the entire layout in one easy step, not your content, so you can see what works best. Good luck on your search.

Open Source Web Design

you should be able to find something there.
make sure you read the terms for the site you might want to use.

don't use a free template ... you could hire someone for a cheap price and I guarantee that you will be more pleased by the final website.
