If you've ever had issues with people stealing your content (images, videos, audio) and hogging your bandwidth then you might enjoy this article.

It's called "Smarter Hot Linking Prevention" and it was the only one I could get to work on a site with Wordpress installed.

A List Apart: Articles: Smarter Image Hotlinking Prevention

(this isn't my site)

If you have other ideas... feel free to post them here because I spent about an hour and a half looking for a solution and this was the only thing I could get to work.

I tried a few tricks with Amazon s3, customizing the htaccess file, a couple wordpress plugins, and nothing worked.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

I just watermark my images. That way if someone uses them, their helping promote my site.

Bandwidth is cheap. If someone hotlinks one of my images, I'am glad. That means that people are seeing my watermark and website logo.
