Problem: Website not displayed appropriately on Widescreen Monitor

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can assist me with an issue I'm having. I recently paid a designer overseas to design a shopping cart website for my pet store. The site looks pretty ok, but there are so many flaws, mechanical flaws more than anything.

Here is my problem: I'm looking at my website on a 22" widescreen monitor right now. Approx. 2-3 inches of the page on the right hand side are cut off when I'm viewing the site on this monitor. The is just a complete white space on the right-hand side. I don't understand the problem. My laptop is a 15" widescreen, and the site displays appropriately. It's just when I view the site on a monitor 20" or more.

My domain is PetSuppliesNmore.com - I'M HOPING SOMEONE WITH A 22" or 24" MONITOR CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SITE AND GIVE ME A BRIEF ANALYSIS. This site was designed using Joomla VirtueMart.

    change your screen resolution to 1024*768 .Restart your PC and check if it is displayed properly.

    when the designer did it, he used "pixels" when defining sizes, i normally code from a larger monitor so i use "percent" that way it evens out regardless if it's a widescreen 50" or a square 15" monitor.

    just viewed from my home computer (22") and it is offset by quite a bit.

    I have a 24" monitor. There is a whitespace to the right. Your bluish background should extend all the way to the right (no matter what monitor size). I don't know how your background is setup...

    You should use some CSS to style and control your site. Also need to write some proper code as what you have is very messy, old, and incomplete. Get a book out of the local library, or buy one off Amazon. If someone else is doing this for you, find another.
