I have a need for someone to configure, or explain to me how to set up my blog sidebars.

Same. As far as payment, there's no need. I'd feel bad taking money for something like that haha!

I'll help anyway I can though... been working on wordpress probably shorter than most, but did my fair share of reading and tweaking to learn everything, and it's rather fresh in my mind lol.
