Wordpress vs joomla with e-commerce:volusion

Volusion (huge e-commerce tool/site) work better with WP or Joomla?

Anybody combined them at all? Doing some volusion work for a friend and he wants a front (main site) with volusion linked from it. Never played with joomla so wasn't sure if anybody had done this combo before?

Thoughts?

If it matters his site is doing a few $100k/year business. So it's gonna need to handle some users.

Only played with WP, and for a simple main site it would prob be easier (since I already know it) but I don't want any unforeseen snags down the road.

Wordpress is better. Especially for main sites.

Go with wordpress, as for the extra features, I'm sure there's a plugin out there for almost all your needs.

Where did you end up on this? I also have a client who I help with Volusion, but he really needs a good flexible front end like Wordpress for all the community stuff. I didn't find any 'plug-ins' for Volusion. I haven't been impressed with the ecommerce options for Wordpress so I'm still thinking the combo is the right way to go. Just curious of your progress.

any e-commerce plugin will create additional e-commerce layer, I believe, so its pretty much independent, for more complex content, use joomla, though wordpress could be extended to serve that objective as well
