Blog in website or seperate blog?

Hi - Just wanted to know if blog within website is good or blog outside the website (like blogspot / wordpress) is good?

My 2 blogs are currently outside the website and there are link to my website in the blogs.

Please let me know.. Should i transfer the blogs in my website itself or should i let it be that way?

    I actually have had the same question about my blog. Specifically from the standpoint of SEO - is it better to have website<dot>com and then blogsite<dot>com for seo? What are the implications on SEO for them to be distinct vs. together?

    And secondly for promotion. Is it easier to get a sustained readership if the blog is separated out and visually it's own entity? Should I brand them similarly or differently?

    it's better u have ur own blog, not hosted on wordpress or blogger. You can install wordpress on ur own hosting with subdomain, which you'll have more powerfull control of ur contents and blogs. You can put ads, banner, as many as u like.
