If anyone can help me with this WPress issue it would be helpfull.

Concerning my blog set up, I would like it to appear like

spockcostume dot com

When ever I go into my sidebars and make adjustments, everything disappears.

Or some things stay and some things go. I can't get it how I want it. I don't get it.

Like the Spock blog above, I think I'm after a static page, but the leave comment box is always at the bottom of the page.

The themes I have and admire are

-Flexibility2
-Revolution Code Blue
-Xhilaration

I've tried all of these themes and am getting nowhere with them.

I know it's something I'm not doing correctly and am frustrated to the breaking point.

I would like my side bars to be like spockcostume, and under the "LATEST POSTS" top side bar,
to have latest posts to be separate .htm or .html pages. like spockcostumes.

And on the home page of spockcostumes, in the box right underneath the header where it says

>>"Boys Halloween Spock Costume, the Star Track Vulcan"

I would like the ability also to adjust this.

I don't understand why when ever I post a post, it shows up on the home page, then I have 3, 4, 5 etc. posts.

Even when I set home page as static, the same thing happens.

Anyway, I'm totally frustrated and desperately need some help.

I'll pay for good advice on setting up my blog.

I'll send details.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Well, the big question is, is whatever theme you are using setup like that.
The theme on that site looks like it has 3 widget areas.
1 on top where the Latest post are and 2 side by side under neath.

So you need to see if your theme is setup that way.

I seen the Flexibility2 and Revolution on a clients site over a year ago and deleted them, but I don't remember how they were setup.

Ok, You can take the leave comment box by going to your dashboard (pages or posts) scroll down and you will see discussion uncheck Allow comments.

Hi there Amy. Thanks for your help.

Can you please have a look at spidermanoutfit dot com

The problem I'm having is that under my sample post, Spiderman spiderman

It shows the date, leave a comment and filed under, etc.

Can you tell me how to get rid of this please?
I just want to get the blog configured correctly before I populate it.

And I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it just right.

      Thanks Amy.

If you want, I can send more details as to what I would like and of course I can compensate you.

      Thanks again Amy.

Hi Trevor... if you want to get rid of the post details below the title (author, comments, date, etc) permanently, you can do so by editing the theme's home.php file.

Go to Appearance > Editor > Select home.php

Then look for this line and remove it.

    <div class="undertitle">Published by <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> in category <?php the_category(', ') ?> | <?php comments_popup_link('Leave a Comment', 'One Comment', '% Comments', 'commlink', 'Comments are closed'); ?></div>

Before proceeding, it's advisable that you backup your current home.php file, just in case...
