Wordpress sidebars....

Does anybody know of a way to edit the width of sidebars in WP if you cant simply alter them using the options in Dashboard?
And, if so, does anything else need to be changed? ie the main content width....

    The only way you would be able to do change the width of your sidebar is to do that in your code: under appearance>editor>click sidebar.php

      Just be careful with what you are doing. If you are not comfortable with changing code, I would first download the file via FTP to your desktop and DON'T touch that original file.

      Make a copy of this file and work off the copy. If you mess up, you can just re-upload the original and start again. Sometimes, when making these changes, it can throw things out of wack.

      Make sure you check your changes on all major browsers to see if your site is displaying correctly.
