I have a static product review site with a squeeze page that I'm currently converting to wordpress. Transferring my other pages isn't the problem, but how do I keep my squeeze page intact and add it as the front page to my new wordpress site?

You will have to make a page template with a custom header and footer template so you can add different CSS for just that page.
    Pages WordPress Codex

Will show how to create a selectable template for posting pages.
Once created when you make a new page in WP you can select it as the template to use.

Wow, from reading the page, that all seems complicated, especially since it seems as if you have to know php, which I don't.

Couldn't I just create a separate folder for my wordpress files, and my index.html file for my squeeze page along with the style sheet will go in the folder above that so one doesn't interfere with the other?

    Yes you could do that.

You CSS and stuff for the squeeze page will not interfere because if wouldn't be linked to the WP theme.
