This seems like it should be simple, but I can't get it to work. I want to put an aweber form into a Wordpress page. I don't want to put it on every page, just one. I know you can use a text widget to do this, but I do not want it in the side bar. is there an easy way or a plugin to help do this? Everything I insert the code into the html view, nothing shows except the email field. any help is appreciated. |

Are you sure you're not pasting the code into the WYSIWYG editor? If you've selected HTML tab, then there should be no problems. Try both the javascript code, and the HTML to see if there is any difference. JK |

If you want to post in the Wordpress PAGE/POST it is recommended that before you paste the aweber code you have copied from aweber site, turn off , WYSIWYG editor in Wordpress... In this way complete code of opt-in form will remain intact... Let me know if this work for you... Mohsin

I attempted to put an Aweber form into my blog, both JS and HTML, and was successful with both. I can only suggest that you double check your Web from settings in Aweber to be sure that everything is set up properly on that end. I have inadvertantly messed up a form in Aweber before and didn't realize it for weeks. It sounds like you are already sure that you are inputing the code into WP in the HTML tab. I am using WP 2.6.3 Hope you solve this problem! Darius |

You have two options, each of which requires that you use your widgets

It is simple. Just create the page or post. Write your post Now click on the html tab next to the Visual tab Insert your code. What I actually do is add a few xxxxxx to the post first and position then click on the html tab and paste the code over the top of the x's Quentin |

I just tried putting the code again in the main page with two different blogs and it didn't work. I turned off wysiwyg in my profile, I'm putting the code into the html as well. When I save the page the only field that shows is the email field, just as before. These blogs are relatively new so the WP version is pretty recent.

Ok. I don't want to assume anything. Does the code you are trying to use in WP work on a non-WP page? Well, here is my suggestion and probably the first one I should have made. Give Aweber a call. It's toll-free. Send them an email or do their live chat. I've got to be honest with you, it's not my first response to any problem I encounter. Maybe I am glutton for punishment. Do I actually enjoy headache and frustration? Or maybe it's that sense of satisfaction and accomplishment knowing that I was able to find the answer out myself. If that doesn't work for you... Under List Settings -> Web Forms click on your list name to edit and... 1. Be sure that in "1: Form Details" is set to "in-line". 2. Double check that "2: Design Form" contains all the fields that you want. 3. Test your code in a WP and in a non-WP environment. If that fails, you can always refer to Paragraph 3. ![]() Darius |

marcanthony's answer was the most simple. The codebanter plug in works ultra-simple. No code adding after every post. Just once. Then if you want to add it after every post you just add something like {codebanter}, and its there. That might not be the exact phrase, I didn't go check, but it is that simple. If your like me and tech challenged, the plug-in is the thing. |

This plugin actually works for Wordpress.org. If you use Wordpress.com you need your own hosting and domain name. You can use Blogger instead since they permit optin forms and has its own hosting.

I think you would have to go to the options under advanced editing but not sure of that.

I have the same exact problem and spent half an hour talking to aWeber customer support, but they were unable to help. The problem with aWeber's WordPress widget is that it only allows you to publish the form to the side bar. I have a long squeeze page and want to publish the form at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom, so the sidebar widget solution doesn't solve my problem. We tried to past BOTH the Raw HTML and the Javascript to the HTML editor of the WordPress page, but when I saved and refreshed, the forms just don't appear. Is there some kind of text / javascript WordPress plugin that allows you to publish within the body of a WP page or post itself? Would LOVE a solution - I have spent far too many hours trying to get my custom aWeber form to work. Thanks! |

Can't this be dependent on the specific theme that you're using?

I can think of a few ways to solve this but I'd like to test them. If one of you can send me your Aweber code to me at andy6 at jabc (replace the at and add .com at the end), I will test it in a local WordPress install. If it comes out the way I think some of you will be able to place it where you want but others of you will probably need some one to help you more. |

| Sumiruna, I am using 2011 Theme with WP 3.3.1 and it would not accept my Java Script in one of my pages. I tried the html and it worked both times. so I have my Aweber optin form on both the sidebar of all my pages; and in the top and bottom of one page - on the main page. I put this in with the setting on html not wysiwyg. If you have problems, which I did have, let me know as I learned from a video I was given. Andy Moore |

Easiest way to do this is to install the wordpress aweber forms plugin mentioned above and install the plugin widgets 2 pages. In the post or page once the plugin is activated put in -addw2p name="yourname"] and publish. Go into your widgets and there should be a space there that says addw2p-yourname Now drag n drop the aweber form widget in and set the list and form then save and you are good to go. |

believe the above solution is missing a leading [ If you want this plugin in an odd location check for tutorials on how to widgetize different areas of your page. Widgetize area. (Not for faint hearted back up stuff first) Place text box. Enter the short code. [plus code form above post . |

I've had this happen with some themes - they just seem to delete any scripts or iframe code no matter where you put it, except in a sidebar widget. The latest WP versions have a lot more choices for where you can put widgets - there are places at the bottom of the page, for example, not just sidebars. Can you make these extra widget areas do what you want? |

Yes you can put text widgets with short codes in any widgetized area. Normally the i-frames are blown out whenever you open that page or post in the visual editor, so never do that once they are in there, and back up those pages that have them with an unpublished draft in case you forget! |

Maybe too simple for what you want to do, but you can easily put it in a post. If you don't want that, try to mess around with AWeber Web Form Plugin. |
