Hey there,

hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

I'm looking for a tool (prob a plugin lol) that can tell me what plugins are actively being used on my own site.

Ever have a site where a few admins are working away...random plugins are left active on the site but not really being used?

Ideally I'de like to find the plugins which aren't really being used & delete them!

Many Thanks!

I had been working on WordPress for the past 3 years.

The answer for your question lies in your Admin area.

Login and go to Plugins->Plugins option

The activated and deactivated plugins on your blog will be displayed.

True, as mentioned above and you can even show only Activated or only Deactivated.

You could always use a plugin called Plugin Central that let you manage plugins massively.

sorry, maybe I didnt explain properly. Here is an (extreme!) example...

        eg

a Wordpress site has 100 "active" plugins

Is there a way of telling which plugins are actually being used on the site? ie are in use (not just "active" but NOT being used).

        eg

sometimes people are lazy...they install a lot of plugins while testing functions & they do not deactivate or remove them once they realize they are not required.

        thanks!

I think I understand what you are asking.. but for the most part, i believe that anything that is activated - whether literally implemented or not - would be seen as "being used" by wordpress and as far as I know there is nothing out there that would be able to auto detect implementation since every plugin has it's own unique method and point of integration.

My educated guess is that the only true way to find out which are being used is to go through manually and sort through them that way.
