Feedback on some of my layouts please.

Hey, i've designed some web layouts. I am a website designer, i don't code.
I'l be grateful for you to give your opinions/critique/advice! I need as much as possible to know if i should continue in designing, or completely give up.

Five|Six|Seven|Eight
Nine|Ten

    I like 3 of them the best.

    9 and 10 are a bit hard to read and a little bright.

    These 3 are my favorites.

    They are very clean and look very professional.
    Be careful on glow/gradient background sections that do not follow through the whole page. eg. http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...portfolio2.png

    It looks great but can be a pain to code if the content needs to be fluid and expand.
    It can be done its just a lot more work. (What I am referring to is the highlighted wood background behind the content)
    This one looks fine because it can be cut at the top, middle and bottom of the content area. I'm just giving you a heads up to make sure that you extent those gradients far enough to be sliced.
    Slicing wood can be a trick trying to get the grain to match and look good, but if the design is great then it is worth the work.

    I think you have plenty of talent to work with by looking at these.
    And everyone has through aways, designs that simply don't work or didn't end up the way they imagined.

    If I may, I would like to share an experience I had many years ago that might just relate to your layouts.

    Hooked up with a clothing store to sell name brand shirts on eBay. Sold a few, but certainly did not make a million. While listing, came across a butt ugly shirt thinking, "This will never sell, but what the heck..., will list away". Ugliest Hawaiian Aloha shirt you have ever seen! Do you know none of my other shirts sold? But this butt ugly shirt had a bidding war between someone in AZ and Japan???

    What's the point? I respectfully disagree with phpbb. Just like that butt ugly shirt, All ten of those layouts could turn out perfect with the right usage and to the right audience.

    Did you say, "giveup"? Nasty six letter words like that should not be allowed! Keep going and Good Luck!
